Relating attention related activities of daily living with cognitive performance on attentional network task in patients with Dementia of Alzheimer’s Type

Background Attentional functioning plays a crucial role in task performance the daily facets of life, and impairments attention are present multitude psychiatric disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, schizophrenia. The assessment has been achieved by Attention Network Test (ANT) various research which is computerized testing measure that was developed to these three networks viz. alerting, orienting executive control. Method attentional network consists In study relationship between on system activities living analyzed 15 mild dementia Alzheimer’s type. measured through Everyday Activities Scale India (EASI). Further, correlation calculated control scores EASI. Result result found alerting significantly positive correlated with items EASI related understand events, deliver message. toilet location, shirt buttoned, lose way village. complete task, dress properly. Conclusion showed relation prerequisites for functioning.
